Magazine Highlights

Virginia Farm Bureau members automatically receive a subscription to either Cultivate magazine or to Virginia Farm Bureau News magazine, which is mailed to producer members.

Introduced July 2008, Cultivate is published quarterly for members who want to learn more about topics related to farming and food.

Cultivate includes colorful and informative feature articles, a special children’s page called “Diggin’ It,” gardening and recipe sections, and information on nutrition and where you can find fresh, local foods. It also includes guidance on how to make your insurance policies work best for you and how members can save money by using their many member benefits.

I like to catch up with what’s going on in Virginia agriculture, since I am interested in supporting local farms and farmers, as well as eating locally grown foods and using local ingredients whenever possible!
