Saving Our Food Begins with You

Fresh, safe, local foods have a special place in our lives. And our need for agriculture in Virginia is more critical now than it’s ever been.

Agriculture and forestry are Virginia’s first and largest industry, but Virginia’s farms and your food could become threatened if we don’t all take steps to preserve them.

It’s a cause that’s as personal as your NEXT MEAL!

In addition to becoming a Farm Bureau member, one way to make a difference right away is to buy and enjoy locally grown products. Do you have a favorite market, farm stand, CSA or restaurant where you buy fresh, local food?

Join Our Cause

What if all the foods your family enjoyed—fresh, ripe tomatoes, juicy peaches and watermelon, steaks and burgers on the grill—were available only from foreign countries?

It might sound far-fetched, even ridiculous.

But while Americans are becoming more and more interested in fresh, locally grown foods, more and more American farms are being lost each year.

Becoming a member of Virginia Farm Bureau is a simple yet powerful way to put your support squarely behind the farms that produce your family’s food.
